LANCASTER, Pa. – RETTEW, an Engineering News-Record top 500 design firm providing engineering, transportation, environmental consulting, planning and surveying services, recently welcomed Geoffrey Fix, CPSM, as senior market director for the natural gas and energy market sector.

“Bringing Geoff on board supports RETTEW’s positioning as lead service provider of engineering and consulting services to clients in the natural gas/alternative energy market sector,” said Mark Lauriello, PE, president, RETTEW. “I welcome Geoff to RETTEW.”

Providing the full gamut of engineering and environmental consulting services to clients in the natural gas market sector, to date RETTEW has successfully obtained more than 250 approved permits for natural gas clients, allowing them to obtain the appropriate environmental agency clearance and proceed with exploration in the Marcellus Shale play.

As senior market director for the natural gas and energy market sector, Fix’s role includes identifying and nurturing business development opportunities as they relate to natural gas exploration, production, and transmission activities in the Marcellus Shale region. He is also an active participant in the Marcellus Shale Coalition and involved in business development in the market sector for alternative energy, such as wind and solar, which is being used in concert with natural gas to promote domestic energy independence.

Fix brings to RETTEW 19 years of experience in project engineering and business development and marketing in the defense, manufacturing and architectural and engineering market sectors. Fix is a graduate of Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology, and he is credentialed as a Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) from the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS).

A York County resident, Fix is a member of SMPS Central PA, Dallastown Area School District Educational Foundation Advisory Board and Dallastown High School Swim and Dive Team’s booster club.
