RETTEW recently hired Joshua L. Zimmerman in its surveying group, working from the firm’s Mechanicsburg, Pa. office.

A designer, Zimmerman works with new technology in the surveying field to complete GIS work for pipeline projects and as-built surveys. RETTEW’s survey team uses drones to complete data collection and information gathering in the field, and Zimmerman uses that data to provide GIS to clients. He brings five years of experience working as a drafter for highway and telecommunications engineering projects, as well as GIS and surveying work. Previously he was a drafter with Pittsburgh-based SAI Consulting Engineers. Zimmerman is an Engineer in Training, and has a Bachelor’s of Science in engineering from Messiah College. He also coaches Messiah’s women’s ultimate Frisbee club team. Zimmerman resides in Carlisle, Cumberland County.
