The Challenge
Kimberton Village Green is a “green” condominium building with 28 residential and commercial units surrounding a green roof courtyard. The client was pursuing LEED Platinum level certification to ensure that the building was healthy for residents, business owners, and the environment. |

Our Answer
RETTEW worked with the client to perform a Phase I environmental site assessment—a requirement for LEED-certified projects. RETTEW is also pursuing land development plan approval for the development from the necessary agencies and incorporated LEED-approved methods and materials into the plan that would assist in the granting of a LEED Platinum-certified project status as noted in U.S. Green Building Council - LEED for Homes Program version 11.1a. In addition, RETTEW designed post-construction stormwater management best management practices to provide water quality improvements as well as wildlife habitat and used porous paving to promote stormwater infiltration.
