The Challenge
To accommodate substantial growth in
student population, Cumberland Valley School District embarked
on an aggressive building program for state-of-the-art facilities.
Cumberland Valley High School in particular required over
500,000 square feet of renovations and additions including
classrooms and laboratories, offices, cafeteria space, an
auditorium and a swimming pool and gymnasiums. The magnitude
of these renovations would require replacing all mechanical
and electrical systems while the building was in use. |

Our Answer
RETTEW
designed the full replacement of the school's mechanical and
electrical systems in a manner that accommodated phased construction
and enabled the school to remain in use during several years
of complex construction. RETTEW's design encompassed new HVAC,
electrical, fire protection, power distribution and data network/technology
systems, as well as all plumbing including sanitary and storm
piping. Cumberland Valley High School is now well positioned
to meet the needs of its growing student body for years to
come. |
