The Challenge
A commercial developer sought to establish
a 460,300-square-foot retail "Power Center" at a highly
visible site at the intersection of Route 30 and Fruitville
Pike in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. While the location's proximity
to popular tourism and existing retail outlets would be ideal
for generating business, numerous design and approval obstacles
would need to be overcome to make this shopping center a reality. |

Our Answer
In addition to preparing the subdivision
and land development plan and the stormwater plan for this
site, RETTEW was instrumental in gaining approvals for a joint
permit for wetlands, site rezoning, Highway Occupancy Permits,
traffic signal permits and an at-grade railroad crossing permit.
By taking an innovative and proactive approach in addressing
complex issues with municipal, state and federal agencies,
RETTEW assisted the developer in bringing a thriving and popular
retail center to the Lancaster community. |
