LANCASTER, Pa. – RETTEW, an Engineering News-Record top 500 design firm providing engineering, transportation, environmental consulting, planning and surveying services, recently hired Theodore L. Stevenson II, EIT, to serve as group manager in environmental engineering. Stevenson works in RETTEW’s Schuylkill Haven office.

“Ted’s many years of experience in the public sector are of great benefit to all the municipalities and municipal authorities whom he now represents,” said Mark Lauriello, PE, president, RETTEW. “I welcome Ted to RETTEW.”

As group manager in environmental engineering, Stevenson is responsible for the management and oversight of projects involving all phases of municipal water and wastewater facilities, including rate studies, budget preparation, design, funding alternatives and construction phase engineering and management. Additionally, he is tasked with managing projects relating to abandoned mine drainage and surface water intake; he also plays a role in business development and serves as coach and mentor to other environmental engineering staff.

Stevenson comes to RETTEW with more than 38 years of experience as a municipal and authority engineer for local and regional municipal entities. He holds a bachelor of technology degree in transportation from Penn State University and is a member of the Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association, serving on the legislative subcommittee for wastewater. Stevenson is also a member of the American Water Works Association and the Water Works Operators Association of Pennsylvania. He resides in Washington Township, Lehigh County, Pa.
