New Safety Requirement for Contractors

Effective October 1, 2015, Licenses and Inspections (L+I) for the City of Philadelphia began requiring all contractors to complete a basic or extended safety course. The official, downloadable requirement is available through a sidebar link.

Summary

  • All construction or demolition site workers must complete OSHA 10-Hour Construction Training.*
  • The majority of licensed contractors must employ a supervisory employee certified in OSHA 30-Hour Construction Training.*
  • A site safety manager with OSHA 30-Hour Construction Training* must provide continuous oversight on the construction or demolition of all major buildings.

 

Training Information

RETTEW is offering both OSHA 10- and 30-Hour Construction Training in our newly expanded training center located conveniently off the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Mechanicsburg. For your convenience, we can also arrange training at your facility.

OSHA 30-Hour Construction Training: December 7-10, 2015, $725/person

OSHA 10-Hour Construction Training: December 14-15, 2015, $275/person
