The next step in a bridge’s transformation is complete, thanks to RETTEW’s Survey and Safety teams.
Our Survey group worked hard to establish exact elevation points of each structural steel beam at the Safe Harbor Trestle Bridge, a future part of the Enola Low Grade Rail Trail.
The railroad ties on the bridge are slated to be replaced with concrete, allowing pedestrians and cyclists to cross the Conewago River. The elevation information will help in the bridge rehabilitation work.
RETTEW’s Safety team provided fall protection equipment for the survey work, since the bridge towers about 140 feet above the river. Our safety experts also provided on-site fall rescue oversight during the surveying process.
We’re excited to be a part of this community-oriented project, bringing this historic structure back to life for use by people of all ages!
