Farmers Market and Local Food Promotion Program Deadline

May 2 @ 11:59 pm EDT

U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Marketing Service

The Farmers Market Promotion Program (FMPP) funds projects that develop, coordinate, and expand direct producer-to-consumer markets to help increase access to and availability of locally and regionally produced agricultural products. It offers three types of grants – Capacity Building, Community Development Training and Technical Assistance, and Turnkey Marketing and Promotion – to assist farm and ranch operations.

Similar to the FMPP, the Local Food Promotion Program (LFPP) funds projects that develop, coordinate, and expand local and regional food business enterprises that engage as intermediaries in indirect producer-to-consumer marketing to help increase access to and availability of locally and regionally produced agriculture products. It offers four types of grants: Planning, Implementation, Farm to Institution, and Turnkey Marketing and Promotion.

To learn more about these opportunities, register for the webinar on March 15, 2023, at 1:00 PM (Eastern Time).

Award Amount: Varies by grant type for each program
Required Match: Both programs require a 25% match (non-federal sources) of the total federal portion of the grant
Applications Due: May 2, 2023, by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) for both grants
