PENNSYLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION (PA DEP)

PA DEP’s Growing Greener Plus Grants Program funds watershed planning, restoration, and protection efforts. The Growing Greener Plus Grants Program consists of three grants: Growing Greener Watershed Restoration and Protection, Surface Mining Conservation and Reclamation Act (SMCRA) Bond Forfeiture, and Stormwater Management Planning (Act 167) Grants.

Pre-application Requirements: All Growing Greener Plus Grant applicants must contact the regional PA DEP Watershed Manager for a pre-application consultation as soon as possible, but no later than Friday, May 29, 2026. For regional or statewide projects, applicants must also contact PA DEP’s Watershed Support Section staff by May 29.

Note: While not required, it is strongly recommended that applicants contact their County Conservation District Watershed Specialist to review their proposed grant application/project by Friday, May 29, 2026.

To apply: All applications must be submitted online through the Enterprise eGrants website. Paper and faxed copies will not be accepted. Please refer to the Growing Greener Plus Applicant Instructions for instructions on how to apply and upload the required documentation in the eGrants application. For instructions on filling out the application forms that must be uploaded to the addenda tab of the eGrants application, please refer to the Growing Greener Plus Program Guidance document.
