Growing Greener Plus Grants Program Deadline
June 23 @ 12:00 am - 11:59 pm EDT

Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP)
The PA DEP’s Growing Greener Plus Grants Program funds watershed planning, restoration, and protection efforts. The three grant programs that comprise Growing Greener Plus are Growing Greener (Watershed Restoration and Protection), Act 167 Stormwater Management Planning Grants, and the Surface Mining Conservation and Reclamation Act Grants, otherwise known as SMCRA (Bond Forfeiture) Grants. Eligibility varies by grant program. All applications must be submitted through the Commonwealth’s eGrants system.
June 2, 2023, is the deadline for all Growing Greener grant applicants to contact the appropriate PA DEP staff, as well as your County Conservation District Watershed Specialist, to discuss your anticipated project.
New This Year:
- The maximum grant request amount is $500,000. Applications requesting more than $500,000 are considered ineligible.
- Abandoned Mine Drainage Set-Aside Grants are no longer part of the Growing Greener Plus Grants Program.
- Applicants must complete and submit a project workplan as part of the application package. This will help to streamline the review timeframe and reduce redundancy of application materials while ensuring consistency.
