This three-day course is required for workers who clean up and/or respond to hazardous waste releases. Materials covered include background history, hazard communications, chemistry and toxicology of hazardous substances, hazard recognition, personal and respiratory protective equipment, decontamination, emergency and spill response, and fire prevention and control. Each student will participate in multiple hands-on activities and tabletop exercises.
