This course ranges from four to six hours—depending on class size, spaces entered, and equipment utilized—and is required for anyone who enters, serves as an outside attendant, or signs off on a permit for a permit-required confined space. Topics for this interactive class include recognizing the difference between confined and permit-required confined spaces, recognition of the potential hazards, requirements for permit completion, and use of entry and retrieval equipment. Upon successful demonstration of permit completion and equipment use, each student will receive a certificate that allows them to fulfill the role of an entry person, an attendant, or a supervisor for a permit-required confined space.
