Municipal Assistance Program (MAP) Fall Round Deadline

September 1

PENNSYLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (DCED)

MAP provides funding to assist local governments to plan for and efficiently implement a variety of policies, programs, or projects, and soundly manage development with an emphasis on intergovernmental approaches. Funding is available for two groups of activities: shared services, and community planning.

NOTE: While not required, applicants are encouraged to discuss their projects with a representative from the Governor’s Center for Local Government Services before submitting an application. Contact the Center at 1-888-223-6837 or 717-787-8158. This allows the Center’s staff to offer technical assistance, alerts the staff to upcoming Single Application submissions, and provides an opportunity to identify other potential funding sources.

To apply: A Keystone Login account is required. Submit the electronic (online) Department of Community & Economic Development Single Application for Assistance located at grants.pa.gov. Please refer to the program guidelines for program and application details.

For Shared Services: Applications shall involve two or more participating municipalities.  For Community Planning: Applications may involve single or multiple municipalities.
