U.S. DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (DOT)
The Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) program funds regional, local, and Tribal initiatives through grants to support planning, infrastructure, behavioral, and operational initiatives aimed at preventing deaths and serious injuries on roads and streets. The program offers two types of grants: Planning and Demonstration, and Implementation.

New in 2025: Numerous changes have been made to the 2025 Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). Please refer to FY 2025 NOFO for the complete list.
Eligible Entities: Metropolitan planning organizations, political subdivisions of a state or territory, federally recognized Tribal governments, and a multijurisdictional group of entities made up of any of the preceding three types of entities; please refer to the FY 2025 NOFO for complete eligibility requirements
Award Amount: Varies by grant
Required Match: At least 20 percent of total eligible project costs from non-federal sources
Applications Due: June 26, 2025, by 5:00 PM (EDT)
