Chesapeake Bay Small Watershed Grants and Chesapeake Watershed Investments for Landscape Defense Grants
Small Watershed Grants (SWG) Program: Eligible projects within the Chesapeake Bay Watershed promote voluntary, community-based efforts to protect and restore the habitats of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. This program offers two funding opportunities: Implementation, and Planning and Technical Assistance.
Chesapeake Watershed Investments for Landscape Defense (WILD) Grants: Eligible projects restore, conserve, and connect the fish and wildlife habitat of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. This program offers three funding opportunities: Implementation, Collaborative Conservation, and Planning and Technical Assistance.
Note: While not required, proposal labs are strongly encouraged for interested applicants of both funding programs.
SWG
Eligible Entities:
Implementation: 501(c) non-profits, community-based organizations, local and municipal governments, Tribal governments and organizations, and K-12 educational institutions.
Planning and Technical Assistance: State government agencies, institutions of higher education, and all implementation-eligible organizations.

Safe Streets and Roads for All
The Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) program funds regional, local, and Tribal initiatives through grants to support planning, infrastructure, behavioral, and operational initiatives aimed at preventing deaths and serious injuries on roads and streets. The program offers two types of grants: Planning and Demonstration, and Implementation.

2025 Clean Water Fund and Susquehanna Riverlands Conservation Landscape Mini-Grant Program
The Lancaster Clean Water Fund‘s goal is to achieve clean and clear local waterways by 2040. It provides an opportunity to work with landowners, leaders, and communities across the county on education, restoration, and protection projects to improve water quality.
The Susquehanna Riverlands Conservation Landscape (SRCL) Mini-Grant Program provides small competitive grants for projects that advance the SRCL mission. Susquehanna Riverlands includes municipalities along the Susquehanna River in Lancaster and York counties.
The Lancaster Clean Water Partners and Lancaster Conservancy have worked together to better align applications and timelines. Register for their info session on April 15, 2025, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, to learn more about both programs.
Note: Draft applications submitted by June 3, 2025, are eligible for review, with feedback provided before the final submission deadline. This optional service is available to applicants of both programs.
Clean Water Fund
Eligible Entities: 501(c)(3) community benefit organizations or municipalities that meet specific eligibility requirements should contact Alex Cooper, Project Coordinator, to obtain the access code for the application.
Award Amount: $1,000 – $25,000
Required Match: Not required
Applications Due: July 1, 2025, by 11:59 PM
SRCL
Eligible Entities: Municipalities, including municipal and local government agencies; 501(c)(3) non-profits registered with the PA Bureau of Charities; and educational entities that are interested in applying should contact Jenn Teson, VP of Operations & Conservation, with a brief description of the project to receive an application link. Please refer to the website for complete details on eligibility.
Award Amount: $2,000 – $20,000
Required Match: A 50% match is required. At least 25% of the match must be in cash.
