2025-26 WalkWorks
WalkWorks provides funds for developing active transportation plans that guide establishing safe, accessible, active routes connecting everyday destinations, so it is safe and convenient for people of all ages and abilities to walk, bike, and use wheelchairs in the course of daily life. Questions regarding the 2025-26 WalkWorks FOA are due by 5:00 PM on March 7.
Eligible Entities: Municipalities – namely boroughs, townships, cities, or counties – and Metropolitan and Rural Planning Organizations
Award Amount: Varies depending on population size and priority status
Required Match: Communities/counties identified as priority areas are not required to provide cost sharing/matching funds. Communities/counties not identified as priority areas are required to provide a cash match equal to the requested award; documentation of the match must be submitted with the application.
Applications Due: March 21, 2025, by 5:00 PM (ET)
2025 Community Conservation Partnerships Program (C2P2)
The Community Conservation Partnerships Program (C2P2) Grants provide funding for projects related to parks, recreation, and conservation. Funding is available for the following types of projects:
- Community and Watershed Forestry
- Community Recreation and Conservation Planning
- Land Acquisition and Conservation
- Motorized and Non-Motorized Trails
- Park Rehabilitation and Development
- State and Regional Partnerships.
Applicants are encouraged to watch the General Overview and applicable grant webinar videos on DCNR’s YouTube channel.
Eligible Entities: County and municipal governments, municipal agencies, nonprofit organizations, prequalified land trusts, state-designated heritage areas, and, for some grant types, for-profit enterprises
Award Amount: Varies
Required Match: Varies, although most C2P2 Grants require a minimum matching contribution from the applicant that is equal to 50 percent of the project cost
Applications Due: April 2, 2025, by 4:00 PM
PA Small Water and Sewer
PA Small Water and Sewer grants offer funding for small water, sewer, storm sewer, and flood control infrastructure projects. Eligible projects are those with a total project cost of $30,000 to $500,000 and involve the construction, improvement, expansion, rehabilitation, or repair of a water supply system, sanitary sewer system, storm sewer system, or flood control project that is owned and maintained by an eligible applicant. Eligible projects also include consolidating or regionalizing two or more water supply systems or sanitary sewer systems which are managed or operated as an integrated system regardless of whether the system is physically connected.

Award Amount: Varies
Required Match: An eligible applicant shall provide matching funds of not less than 15% of the total eligible project cost. The cash match may come from any other source including PENNVEST.
