RETTEW is looking for a dynamic, client-focused mid-level technical individual to join our GeoEnvironmental Team as a Project Manager. Please note that applicants without a background and experience in geology or environmental fields are not eligible for this position.

As a Project Manager with the GeoEnvironmental Team, you will work with other project managers within our Team, including others within our broader Environmental & Geotechnology Practice. Supported by our diverse staff of geologists and hydrogeologists, environmental compliance specialists, soil scientists, geotechnical specialists, geophysicists and wetland biologists, you will work collaboratively with our clients to address their environmental and compliance needs.

The ideal candidates will possess the following attributes:

  • Knowledge of the public, commercial, and industrial markets within southcentral and eastern PA.
  • Experience working as a project manager within the environmental consulting industry for private and/or State and Federal clients.
  • Established ability to consistently manage multiple projects, project budgets and a team of professionals.
  • Excellent communication, writing and public presentation skills.
  • Maintains a presence and seeks leadership roles in professional societies and other organizations related to the public, commercial and/or industrial markets.

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in geology, hydrogeology, environmental science or related environmental field
  • Minimum three to five years of successful management experience and position progression in environmental engineering/consulting. Experience in water, waste and/or land development projects a plus.
  • Minimum of three to five years of successful experience and position progression in industrial environmental compliance related projects, environmental due diligence, subsurface/remediation investigations and hydrogeologic investigations
  • Professional Geologist (PG) license in Pennsylvania or on track to obtain licensure is a plus but not required.
  • Strong technical background, proven experience leading teams and delivering projects
  • Experience and enjoyment in managing and mentoring staff and sub-consultants
  • Knowledge of Chapter 245 and 250 Act 2 Recycling Program and other applicable state and federal regulations and guidance.
  • Experience with a broad range of environmental compliance support projects may include (but not limited to): Environmental Compliance Audits*Regulatory Reporting Assistance, Waste Management Support, Environmental Management System Support, Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure; Integrated Contingency; and Preparedness, Prevention and Contingency Plans, Industrial Stormwater Permitting, Facility Waste Permitting (Hazardous, Non-Hazardous (Residual), and/or Universal), Air Quality Permitting and Emissions Support, Compliance Consulting and/or On-Site Support
  • Hazardous Materials Surveys (Asbestos, Lead, etc.)
  • Auto CAD and/or GIS experience a plus
