Our growing company is searching for an experienced geologist for the position of Geotechnical Project Manager to support our Environmental & Geotechnology Team. We appreciate you taking the time to review the list of qualifications and applying for the position. 

As a Geotechnical Project Manager, you will demonstrate your ability to design and implement geotechnical field investigations, perform engineering calculations, prepare reports, and provide final technical quality control for the design of shallow and deep foundations, slopes retaining walls, pavements, and other earthen structures. Experience with providing consulting support during construction is a plus. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in oil and gas, development projects, and projects related to pipeline construction.

As a Geotechnical Project Manager, you will:

1. Provide Project Support within Related Field

• Manage multiple clients, prepare and manage project budgets, coordinate a team of professionals.

• Maintain a presence and/or seek leadership roles in professional societies and other organizations. 

• Use prescribed methods to perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment.

• Perform research, conduct investigations (office and field), and write reports and opinions.

• Consult project staff about regulations concerning project issues; research applicable regulations

• Develop and complete applications, permits, and specifications for projects.

• Follow tasks through a series of related detailed steps or processes.

• Perform design portion on assigned project.

2. Provide File Management and Technical Support

• Use standard programs to complete project and administrative deliverables.

• Use image libraries when original design is not required.
