RETTEW is looking to Health and Safety Technician to support our Health and Safety Team in our Mechanicsburg, PA office.   As a Safety Technician, you will be exposed to a variety of industries and clients and be a part of them reaching their goal in creating a safer workplace. Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluation of workplaces and construction sites for unsafe conditions, work practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Industrial hygiene monitoring including noise dosimetry, airborne contaminants such as silica, hexavalent chromium, etc.
  • Provide training and training assistance to large and small groups of students in a variety of conditions such as – on the job toolbox talks, classroom instruction, hands on demonstrations in the use of various equipment used for employee safety such as: Confined space equipment, Fall protection, Personal Protective Equipment
  • Development and completion of various documentation forms including but not limited to inspection forms, report writing, Job Safety Analysis (JSA) update and development.
  • Ability to evaluate worksites/workplaces and identify applicable regulations, unsafe conditions and determine corrective actions by utilizing various resources such as regulatory references, best management practices, resident subject matter experts, etc.
  • As applicable develops and completes applications, permits, and specifications for projects.
  • Work with a variety of staffing level and team members to complete projects.
