Job Description:

As a safety technician, you will be exposed to a variety of industries and clients and be a part of them reaching their goal in creating a safer workplace. · Evaluation of workplaces and construction sites for unsafe conditions, work practices and regulatory compliance.

· Industrial hygiene monitoring including noise dosimetry, airborne contaminants such as silica, hexavalent chromium, etc.

· Provide training and training assistance to large and small groups of students in a variety of conditions such as – on the job toolbox talks, classroom instruction, hands on demonstrations in the use of various equipment used for employee safety such as: Confined space equipment, Fall protection, Personal Protective Equipment

· Development and completion of various documentation forms including but not limited to inspection forms, report writing, Job Safety Analysis (JSA) update and development.

· Ability to evaluate worksites/workplaces and identify applicable regulations, unsafe conditions and determine corrective actions by utilizing various resources such as regulatory references, best management practices, resident subject matter experts, etc.

· As applicable develops and completes applications, permits, and specifications for projects.

· Work with a variety of staffing level and team members to complete projects.


· Bachelor’s degree Occupational Safety / Safety Science / Safety Management

· Minimum of 2-5 years of experience.

· Experience with Microsoft office required

· OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) preferred.

· Comfortable speaking in front of a group.

· Ability to work in a variety of environments such as temperature, weather, heights, etc.
