Introducing Katrina Cooper, a Health & Safety Technician on RETTEW’s Health, Safety & Environment team. Outside work, she is an adventurer who enjoys all four seasons, whether hiking, traveling, or serving on a hot air balloon crew. A confessed foodie, Katrina loves cooking dishes from her Filipino heritage, with a special fondness for lumpia and chicken adobo, which she notes is different from Hispanic adobo. Her passions for visiting new places and trying new cuisines go hand in hand as she explores all the world has to offer, including scuba diving in Palau, pictured here, or hiking in Machu Picchu (below). So, it’s not surprising that if she could choose any superpower, it would be teleportation, allowing her to visit family or travel to new destinations quickly.
A sports enthusiast, you can catch Katrina cheering for the Ravens and Flyers and participating in her family’s fantasy football league. That is, when she isn’t bartending or hosting trivia games as her side gigs.
A native of California, Katrina holds a B.S. in Biology from St. Mary’s College of California and an M.S. in Occupational Safety Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. As a Graduate Safety Practitioner and Associate Safety & Health Manager with more than five years of experience in the field, her professional journey includes identifying, storing, and coordinating the shipment of hazardous waste; performing noise and silica air monitoring; and conducting field site safety audits.
