Sustainability: Building a Greener Future
One of our standout projects is the Maple Street Garage, where we replaced two outdated parking facilities with a modern structure that incorporates sustainable infrastructure. The design features an 18,175-square-foot green roof, which reduces impervious cover, improves water retention, and helps manage stormwater. This project not only enhances the urban environment but also earned the Apex Award for Sustainable Design from the International Parking & Mobility Institute.
Technology: Advancing Innovation
RETTEW is committed to making innovative technological advancements. Our work on the Atlantic County Utilities Authority Battery Energy Storage System is a prime example. We implemented a 1 MW/1 MWhr battery energy storage system that supports grid operations, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and improves the integration of renewable energy sources. It also provides emergency backup during energy shortfalls or service interruptions, demonstrating our commitment to resilient and sustainable energy solutions.
Community Impact: Enhancing Quality of Life
Our projects also focus on making a tangible difference in the communities we serve. RETTEW’s work on the Paradise Township Sewer Authority Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion nearly doubled the plant’s capacity, benefiting the growing community by reducing environmental impact and supporting economic growth and development. This project underscores our dedication to improving essential infrastructure and fostering community well-being.
