RETTEW is proud to announce Connor Throneberry is the recipient of the 2024-25 RETTEW Endowed Scholarship for Intercollegiate Athletics at Penn State. A junior majoring in Civil Engineering and a standout member of the Penn State baseball team, Connor has consistently demonstrated excellence both on and off the field.

A Missouri native, Connor’s high school career was marked by exceptional athletic achievements. As pitcher, he led his team to a state championship runner-up finish and earned numerous accolades, including being a Class 6A first team All-State selection in 2021 and the Team MVP as a senior. He was also recognized as a Perfect Game Tournament first team All-American in 2020.

Continuing his athletic journey at Penn State, Connor has made significant contributions to the university’s baseball team. During the 2023 season as a redshirt freshman, he made 13 appearances on the mound, throwing 15 innings and striking out 13 batters. Notably, he recorded six outings where he did not allow a run, showcasing his skill and dedication to the sport.

Connor’s commitment to academics mirrors his athletic achievements. As an aspiring civil engineer, he balances the rigors of his major with his passion for baseball, embodying the spirit of the RETTEW Endowed Scholarship, which supports student-athletes who excel in both academics and athletics.

“We are thrilled to award Connor Throneberry the RETTEW Endowed Scholarship for Intercollegiate Athletics,” said Clayton Bubeck, PE, President and CEO of RETTEW. “His dedication, both on the field and in the classroom, is an inspiration to his peers and a testament to the values we uphold at RETTEW.”
