RETTEW partnered with the selected architect and the Campus Planning Committee of Christendom College to develop a comprehensive ten-year campus master plan for this growing liberal arts institution. As campus planner and site engineer, RETTEW guided a collaborative process to align the College’s mission and character with a forward-looking framework for responsible, sustainable growth.
The plan establishes a unified vision for new academic, residential, and student-life facilities while enhancing access, safety, and the pedestrian experience across the scenic Shenandoah Valley campus. RETTEW conducted a detailed campus-wide analysis of infrastructure, traffic circulation, and land use to identify opportunities for improved connectivity and functionality. The resulting plan includes recommendations for reconfigured vehicular routes, expanded and efficient parking areas, strategic utility planning, and a cohesive landscape framework that strengthens campus identity.
Through a balance of technical precision and campus design sensitivity, RETTEW’s team delivered practical solutions that honor Christendom’s architectural tradition and spiritual environment. The master plan provides a clear roadmap for phased improvements, ensuring the College can continue growing its academic and residential footprint while preserving the campus beauty and walkability that define the Christendom experience.
