Recognized as a Top Project by the Central Penn Business Journal, RETTEW delivered comprehensive land development and engineering services for a new 377,844-SF, LEED-certified headquarters facility. As the lead engineering consultant, RETTEW managed every phase — from permitting through construction oversight — ensuring compliance and efficiency for this high-profile commercial project.
Key challenges included navigating individual NPDES permitting and addressing seasonal high-water table conditions. RETTEW implemented an innovative managed release concept basin to control stormwater effectively, safeguarding site integrity and municipal compliance. To handle food production washdown waste, our team designed a dedicated wastewater facility meeting stringent discharge requirements, reinforcing environmental stewardship.
Beyond core civil and structural engineering, RETTEW also provided design-build services for a 2.44-megawatt solar carport over the parking area that significantly offsets the facility’s energy needs. The solar array will produce up to 50% of the new facility’s electrical demand and push excess electrical generation to the grid when the facility is not operating.
This award-winning project exemplifies RETTEW’s ability to solve complex site challenges, integrate sustainable solutions, and deliver results that drive client success and community impact.
