Lancaster General Health Physicians Family Medicine Centerville

Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health developed an 8,789-SF medical office building at the intersection of Centerville Road and Rettew Boulevard to expand access to primary care, internal medicine, and family medicine services in western Lancaster County.

RETTEW served as the lead civil and site engineer for the project, providing comprehensive site design and permitting services. Our team’s scope included layout and design of access driveways and parking areas, as well as grading and integrated stormwater management systems to meet both functional and regulatory requirements.

Developed on a constrained infill parcel, the project required efficient site utilization and careful coordination to accommodate building placement, traffic circulation, and utility connections within the limited footprint. RETTEW designed a subsurface managed release concept basin to effectively control stormwater runoff while maximizing available space for patient and staff access.

Through close coordination with Manor Township, the Lancaster County Conservation District, and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, RETTEW secured all necessary land development and environmental approvals — helping Penn Medicine deliver a modern, community-focused medical facility that enhances healthcare accessibility in the region. This project won the Central Penn Business Journal’s Top Projects Award.
