Lancaster Regional Business Center Site Development

The client wanted to develop a high-profile office building on a site that had minimal stormwater facilities and a floodplain that covered a quarter of the property. They also needed to preserve a major culvert, which allowed stormwater to pass through the site to the floodplain area. The project required more advanced stormwater facilities, while preserving the space available for development.

RETTEW addressed the site constraints and met client needs by designing underground basins to maximize the available development area and retaining walls around most of the parking area perimeter to create a usable, level surface area. Also, in order to preserve the culvert, RETTEW incorporated the culvert into these surrounding retaining walls. RETTEW took a challenging site and program and worked with the client to create a valuable office complex in Lancaster County.
