RETTEW was selected to support OhioSE Economic Development’s preliminary site work for the Logan-Hocking Commerce Park. The SiteOhio authenticated property consists of a 30-acre parcel owned by the Hocking County CIC, which was interested in developing the farmland as an expansion of the existing Commerce Park. The client needed to understand how best to develop the site to attract new tenants while minimizing disruption to the surrounding businesses.
RETTEW reviewed local ordinances and prepared two alternative site designs: one for a single 500,000-SF warehouse and another for five separate business lots ranging from 50,000 to 90,000 SF. Both options accounted for the site’s topography, natural drainage patterns, and the client’s development goals. The plans also addressed parking, loading areas, and improvements to nearby roadways to enhance safety and emergency access.
RETTEW partnered with the owner to prepare a grant funding application for roadway extensions to improve access beyond the existing cul-de-sac. Additionally, RETTEW developed color renderings to assist the owner in marketing the site to potential tenants.
