City Center Lehigh Valley developed the Moxy Allentown Downtown hotel to meet growing demand for upscale urban accommodations within Allentown’s revitalized city core. The five-story, 134-room boutique hotel features a modern interior courtyard and street-level integration that complements the surrounding mixed-use district.

RETTEW served as the lead civil and site engineer for this project — City Center’s thirtieth project with RETTEW — providing a full range of design and permitting services under an accelerated schedule.

The tight downtown footprint required close coordination with City staff, PennDOT, and adjacent property owners to maintain pedestrian safety and traffic flow throughout construction. RETTEW’s proactive management of permitting and design milestones helped City Center meet aggressive project deadlines while maintaining compliance with municipal and state requirements.
