The Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology Transportation Center project posed several challenges for our client. This 86,000-SF institutional and industrial building, located on the Greenfield Industrial Park campus, required a comprehensive solution. RETTEW stepped in to provide a range of services to ensure the successful realization of this vital project.
Our team meticulously designed the site layout, considering the 100-acre property’s multiphased development plan. We secured necessary permits and navigated complex regulations to facilitate smooth construction. Precise surveying allowed us to understand the site’s topography and identify wetland areas, which we delineated to comply with environmental regulations. Given the project’s location, floodplain permitting was critical. We facilitated approvals to mitigate flood risks and provided rigorous geotechnical studies, which informed foundation design and ensured stability and safety. Throughout the project, RETTEW provided oversight, quality control, and coordination to ensure adherence to design specifications, budget, and timeline.
The Transportation Center now serves as a cornerstone for advancing equitable access to education and accommodates enrollment growth in trades and technology programs. Our commitment to excellence empowered Thaddeus Stevens College to launch students into successful futures through this transformative project.
