Traditions of America at West Brandywine

RETTEW partnered with Traditions of America to provide full civil engineering and land development services for the builder’s 130-acre, 55+ resort-style community in West Brandywine Township. The project includes 226 single-family homes, an 8,000-SF clubhouse, walking trails, pickleball courts, a pool, and open green spaces — all designed to support an active lifestyle neighborhood.

RETTEW managed the entire development process, including site planning, stormwater management, roadway and utility layout, and grading design. The project required a conditional use approval and close coordination with the Township to balance regulatory requirements with the client’s vision. Key technical challenges included grading across rolling terrain, managing increased stormwater runoff, and designing infrastructure systems to support the full build-out while preserving natural features.

The completed community offers resort-style amenities and pedestrian-friendly streetscapes while providing convenient access to nearby dining, shopping, and cultural destinations. RETTEW’s engineering expertise and collaborative approach delivered a functional, attractive, and sustainable community, reinforcing our reputation as the go-to partner for complex residential projects across Pennsylvania.
