RETTEW delivered turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for two renewable energy initiatives at UGI facilities, reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainability and operational efficiency. At UGI’s Leesport training center, RETTEW designed and constructed a comprehensive solar solution that included two rooftop solar arrays, a fixed-tilt ground mount array, and five EV charging stations. Simultaneously, a second project at UGI’s Marion Heights depot comprised an additional rooftop solar array and two electric vehicle charging stations.
The Leesport site presented logistical challenges, including maintaining ongoing site operations and integrating multiple solar systems with existing infrastructure. RETTEW’s EPC approach streamlined design coordination, equipment procurement, permitting, and construction, ensuring the project was delivered on time and on budget. By self-performing much of the work and managing subcontractors closely, we provided UGI with a single point of contact, simplifying project oversight and accelerating deployment.
These installations now produce clean, renewable energy that offsets UGI’s electricity usage, reduces energy costs, and supports employee adoption of electric vehicles. The combined impact of the systems contributes meaningfully to UGI’s corporate carbon reduction goals while demonstrating the viability of distributed generation projects at existing facilities. RETTEW’s integrated EPC model ensured technical excellence, cost control, and minimal disruption to operations.
