Safety Training in Practice

A prominent construction firm wanted to provide a diverse range of safety training for its staff at multiple locations. RETTEW answered the call with a team of safety consultants, each boasting distinct technical skills and industry knowledge, to deliver comprehensive training in areas like forklift and rigging safety, excavation compliance, and aerial lift operations. Over two months, RETTEW’s experts conducted customized training sessions across five different sites, incorporating the client’s own policies and hands-on activities with their equipment. This extensive training effort equipped 633 employees for an upcoming project, keeping the company on track with its schedule.

A regional construction services company needed to renew First Aid and CPR certifications for many of its employees. Unlike typical First Aid and CPR classes, which are mostly lecture-based, RETTEW collaborated with the company’s leadership to develop a dynamic, scenario-based training session tailored to real-life construction hazards such as roof collapses, equipment strikes, falls, chemical exposures, and amputations. Our team of safety experts created interactive learning stations where employees actively practiced responding to various emergencies, enhancing their practical skills. To accommodate the client’s tight schedule, RETTEW deployed three on-site trainers who conducted sessions for more than 100 field staff over five days.

A food manufacturer was planning for construction and sought to develop and install effective fall protection without the necessary in-house staff to oversee daily operations. The plant wanted to install this equipment without disrupting ongoing production, while still maintaining the safety and quality of both the machinery and the workforce. Already familiar with the facility and its processes, RETTEW offered several cost-effective fall protection solutions and identified the best fit for the client’s needs. We trained contractors on the facility’s safety and quality standards and supervised the installation, guaranteeing production continued smoothly and without delay.

Promoting A Safety Mindset

At RETTEW, we pride ourselves on delivering instruction that transforms safety protocols from abstract concepts into instinctive responses, while continuously evolving our programs to reflect the latest industry standards, emerging threats, and regulatory requirements. Our expert trainers don’t just teach safety; they mentor your team to become safety leaders, keeping your workforce ahead of tomorrow’s risks.

The impact of good safety training extends far beyond compliance—it builds confidence, strengthens team dynamics, and creates a culture where everyone looks out for one another. When you partner with RETTEW, you’re not just meeting standards; you’re creating better ones.

Why Safety Training Matters

A proactive approach to on-site readiness fundamentally transforms how crews operate in high-stakes environments. When staff members deeply understand the mechanics of risk prevention, they make confident decisions that keep projects running smoothly and efficiently. Thorough preparation eliminates dangerous guesswork during critical moments, ensuring every individual returns home safely after their shift. Cultivating this level of operational resilience directly benefits your organization by minimizing unexpected downtime and building a highly capable, alert team ready to handle any challenge.

We design our safety training programs to go far beyond basic OSHA compliance through the use of applied learning and dynamic instruction. By incorporating real-world safety scenarios alongside interactive problem-solving, we reinforce your workforce’s safety knowledge so that safe habits become an instinct instead of just a requirement.
