Children in the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program of Summit County, Ohio, are getting more support for their daily needs, and are looking to their future.

A grant from the RETTEW Charitable Foundation helped fund the purchase of duffel bags full of essential, everyday items for children in need as they transition to foster care. The grant also involves the children visiting RETTEW’s Akron/Canton office to learn about STEM careers. Research has shown many foster care students do not pursue higher education, so getting these kids interested now is key.

The RETTEW Charitable Foundation provides grant funding to organizations supported by RETTEW employees. Staff are encouraged to submit applications for consideration throughout the year. This grant was spearheaded by Victoria, a Project Technician in RETTEW’s Survey group, who volunteers with CASA.
