The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s General Permit registration process has changed, relating to water obstruction and encroachment permits.  New forms are available this week.

Updates include a new registration form, an aquatic resource impact table, and instructions, as well as some condensing to eliminating unnecessary information.

The PA DEP hopes to reduce permit backlogs by improving the quality of permit requests, eliminating unnecessary redundancies, and reducing review timeframes.
