Dauphin County Local Share Municipal Grant Closes

DAUPHIN COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

The Dauphin County Local Share Municipal Grant Program distributes funds generated by gaming to eligible local governments for projects that support and enhance community and economic well-being and mitigate the impact of gaming and related activities. Please refer to supporting documentation for the grant program guidelines, grant criteria, FAQs, grant hearing information, and checklist.

New for 2026: Applications must be submitted electronically via the Dauphin County Local Share Municipal Grant online portal at grants.dauphincounty.gov. Paper copies will not be accepted.

Pre-application conferences will be held on select dates between August 1, 2026, and September 30, 2026. Entities interested in Local Share Municipal Grant funding are strongly encouraged to attend. While the pre-application workshop is not required, applicants who do not attend will lose points in the evaluation of their application. Please refer to the program’s webpage for a complete list of dates and times for the pre-application workshops.

Eligible Entities: Eligible sponsors/recipients include East Hanover Township (Dauphin County), municipalities contiguous with East Hanover Township and located within Dauphin County (Derry, South Hanover, Middle Paxton, Rush, and West Hanover Townships), and Dauphin County (must be authorized by the Board of Commissioners). Municipalities within Dauphin County that are not contiguous with East Hanover Township and non-municipal entities may be eligible if their application is joined by an eligible sponsor/recipient listed above.
Award Amount:
Varies. Municipal applicants (that are not the host or a contiguous municipality) – a total request for all departments within a muncipality of not more than $150,000 in a single grant cycle; non-municipal applicants – a total request of not more than $75,000 in a single grant cycle.
