RETTEW Ranks Fourth on List of Top 50 Fastest-Growing Companies in Central Pennsylvania
Achieves 104.5 Percent Revenue Growth in Three-Year Period
RETTEW today announced it has ranked fourth on Central Pennsylvania Business Journal’s (CPBJ) list of Top 50 Fastest Growing Companies 2012. RETTEW is an Engineering News-Record top 200 design firm providing engineering, transportation, environmental consulting, planning, surveying and safety consulting services to clients across the country. RETTEW learned of its ranking at a CPBJ event held September 10, 2012, in Harrisburg, Pa.
“RETTEW’s tremendous financial growth comes as a result of the firm’s ability to tap into new markets, to attract and sustain valuable clients and to employ the best and brightest individuals who are committed to doing a stellar job,” said Mark Lauriello, PE, president, RETTEW.
In order to be eligible for consideration on CPBJ’s Top 50 list, companies were required to show revenue of at least $500,000, and show increasing revenue overall, in fiscal years ending 2009, 2010 and 2011. From 2009 to 2011, RETTEW achieved a 104.5 percent revenue increase.
RETTEW’s early entry into and aggressive growth in the energy and utilities market largely contributed to the firm’s revenue increases from 2009 to 2011 and subsequent high ranking on CPBJ’s list of Top 50 Fastest Growing Companies. In addition to substantive revenue gains, RETTEW’s involvement in the energy and utilities market prompted the firm to expand its presence in the Northeast, Midwest and most recently the West. RETTEW is now located in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Colorado. RETTEW’s newest office in Denver, Colo., supports oil and gas exploration activity throughout the western U.S.
“RETTEW has been very fortunate to not only survive the tough economy, but thrive,” added Lauriello. “The company owes a great deal to its employees, whose hard work and dedication to serve our clients continue to drive our success.” For-profit entities headquartered in Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry or York County were eligible for nomination. With a total of 11 offices in four states, RETTEW is headquartered in Lancaster County, Pa.
In April RETTEW jumped 249 spots on Engineering News Record’s (ENR) annual list of top 500 design firms in the country; ENR ranks the list based on revenue. The leap in ranking garnered RETTEW the title of “fastest-growing firm on the Top 500 this year,” according to ENR.
RETTEW, ranked 12th in 2011 on the list of Best Places to Work in PA, began in 1969 as single-person office. Current office locations include Athens, Lancaster, Lehigh Valley, Mechanicsburg, Pittsburgh, Schuylkill Haven and Williamsport, Pa; Canton, Ohio; Liberty and Margaretville, N.Y.; and Denver, Colo.
