Hard labor and horses make for a pretty great day.
The RETTEW Charitable Foundation recently provided $5,000 in grant funding to Leg Up Farm in York County, PA. The nonprofit organization is a therapy center for children with special needs.
Each grant from RETTEW’s foundation is aligned with a volunteer component spearheaded by the RETTEW employee who sponsored the grant. Shaun Bentz, engineer in RETTEW’s Lancaster, PA office, organized a volunteer day at Leg Up Farm in the early summer.
The team helped maintain several riding trails and spent time working on other property maintenance tasks.
Along with RETTEW employees, family members, and friends, the Bearded Villains group was also on hand to help out. RETTEW employee Adam Bushong, a bearded gent himself, invited the organization along to help.
We like to get our hands dirty, whether its testing soils, overseeing a bridge installation, or working with a community group to make a difference!
