At Homestead Village’s senior living community The Farmstead, historic and luxury designs are coming to life.

Part of the Lime Spring Farm development site in East Hempfield Township, Lancaster County, the continuous care retirement community will feature a park-like setting, cobblestone curbs and several carriage home styles.

RETTEW provided full-service site plans, including surveying, geotechnical, stormwater, land development, site design, sewer and water permitting services. When complete, the $28 million expansion will add 98 homes on about 30 acres of land at the retirement community. About 150 residents will be able to live in the homes, which are being constructed as demand requires. The site includes a park, pavilion, and walking trails.

We’ve been working with EG Stoltzfus on construction, as well as site developer Oak Tree Development, in partnership with Homestead Village. This is Homestead’s fourth neighborhood for seniors in the area.

The home community is part of a mixed-use master plan at Lime Spring Farm, which includes residential, retail, commercial and light industrial. Other uses of the site include a 12,000-square-foot Quality Bicycle Products distribution center and the under-construction, 15,000-square-foot U-Gro Learning Centre. RETTEW has worked closely with the developer on all aspects of the site.
