Another school year, another fun contest!

RETTEW was proud to again sponsor the “What’s So Cool about Manufacturing?” contest, concluding with its 2019 Best of PA Championship last week. Developed by the Manufacturers Resource Center, the video-based competition is designed to increase awareness of career paths in manufacturing and STEM for students.

The Pennsylvania championship brought together the top teams from 15 regional contests throughout the commonwealth for a final showcase. And the winning team was…

Neil A. Armstrong Middle School in Fairless Hills!

This contest provides students cameras, software, and professional guidance, and tasks them with scripting, recording, and editing video stories about the manufacturing industry. 239 teams in Pennsylvania entered and over 900,000 votes were submitted online.

RETTEW’s Industrial Market Leader, Laura Templeton, had the pleasure of awarding the third-place award to Northeast Middle School in Bethlehem, PA for their video on manufacturing at Just Born Quality Confections (image below). Congratulations to all the 2019 participants!
