As a child, Paul was introduced to the world of first responders with his grandfathers, father, and uncles all being in the fire service. There was no doubt he would follow in their footsteps, and so the journey began. He joined his local fire department as soon as he could and received his Pennsylvania state certification in firefighting. From the fire service, Paul was introduced to the special operations world of hazmat and has been on the Dauphin County Hazmat Team for the past 27 years. Paul graduated from Shippensburg University and has spent most of his career in the chemical industry as a plant operations manager.
Paul is now RETTEW’s Corporate Safety Manager, overseeing RETTEW’s internal safety program and working with external clients. Paul enjoys the variety of his role and helping others improve and stay safe. One of Paul’s proudest moments was being a part of the team that helped RETTEW receive the PA Governor’s Award of Safety Excellence.
Paul spends his free time doing three things: hanging out with his daughter, hunting and fishing at his cabin, and serving as the Deputy Chief of Dauphin County’s Hazmat Team. His favorite time is by far spent with his daughter, and he is fortunate she enjoys the outdoors just as much as he does!
