A section of a local creek will soon be teaming with fish and a healthy ecosystem.
RETTEW’s client, Donegal Chapter of Trout Unlimited, recently received a grant administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Section 319 grant for $58,000 will be used to restore a section of the Conowingo Creek in southern Lancaster County.
This section of creek is between two previously restored sections.
Donegal will work with RETTEW biologists to develop restoration plans involving bank stabilization, in-stream fish habitat, and a forested riparian buffer. These plans will then be used to reach the next stage of restoration – funding for construction.
We help clients of all shapes and sizes keep the environment safe – abiding by permitting guidelines and creating stormwater, spill protection, or oversight plans to ensure all projects protect our environment and habitats while staying on track.
