LANCASTER, Pa. – RETTEW Associates, Inc. (RETTEW) and Rettew Flowback Inc. (RFI) today announced the opening of their Pittsburgh offices located at Twin Towers, 4955 Steubenville Pike, Suite 305. RETTEW is a comprehensive engineering firm that provides engineering, transportation, environmental consulting, planning and surveying services. RFI provides flowback treatment, frac support and construction services to natural gas exploration and production firms.

“Expanding our firm by adding a Pittsburgh office enables RETTEW and RFI to now offer western Pennsylvania and surrounding areas comprehensive engineering and consulting services, as well as a full gamut of services relating to natural gas exploration and production,” said Mark Lauriello, PE, president, RETTEW. “We are very excited to be here.”

In addition to supporting the area’s growing demand for professional engineering and consulting services, RETTEW chose Allegheny County as its eighth office location in an effort to be more accessible to some of its key clients. RETTEW offers civil/municipal, environmental sciences, environmental engineering, land development, transportation engineering and surveying services. The firm is a member of the Marcellus Shale Coalition (MSC) and one of the first non-gas industry members to become an MSC member. RETTEW also belongs to the Pittsburgh Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Western Pennsylvania Water Pollution Control Association, the Engineers’ Society of Western Pennsylvania and the American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania.

RETTEW was established in 1969 in Lancaster County as a single-person office and today employs more than 300. In addition to its Pittsburgh office, RETTEW office locations include Bethlehem, Lancaster, Mechanicsburg, Schuylkill Haven and Williamsport, Pa; and Liberty and Margaretville, N.Y.

Presently employing six professional staff members in Pittsburgh, RETTEW plans to expand its local staff to more than 50 before the close of 2012 by continuing to hire qualified local professionals in the areas of transportation, surveying, environmental consulting, environmental engineering and construction-related services. Having nearly doubled in size over the past year, the firm continues to increase staff in virtually all of its office locations.

“We’ve been very fortunate to be able to expand and grow during a time when most firms are downsizing,” added Lauriello.
