Mark Lauriello, our CEO Emeritus, is retiring from RETTEW sometime this year, and consequently, he has stepped down from RETTEW’s Board of Directors. RETTEW is pleased to announce Mary Ellen Rutledge, Director of Human Resources, is filling the seat vacated by Mark, and we’ve elected Jackie Walker, an existing board member since 2019, as the new Chair of RETTEW’s Board of Directors.
Mary Ellen Rutledge
Mary Ellen will celebrate her 20-year work anniversary with RETTEW this October. During her time here, she has continually brought dedication and confidence to her position leading our Human Resources group and helping to maintain a positive workplace environment. Mary Ellen oversees the company’s payroll function, recruitment efforts, compensation programs, employee benefit offerings, performance management process, and legal compliance efforts. She also plays a critical role in our employee engagement and retention initiatives. Mary Ellen is an active member of the Tactical Operations team and senior leadership advisor to the DEI Team. She previously served on RETTEW’s Board of Directors from 2014-2018. As a board member, Mary Ellen has a fiduciary responsibility to the company and its employee-owners.
Jacqueline Walker
Jackie recently retired from her full-time role as CEO and U.S. board director of Pacific Edge Diagnostics USA, a New Zealand-based cancer diagnostic company with U.S. headquarters in Hershey, PA, and she continues in an active consulting role with the company. Jackie led the successful establishment and growth of the company’s U.S. subsidiary since 2012. She is a strategic, results-oriented, and passionate executive with a strong background in P&L management, including a broad range of experience from small start-ups to large global companies. Jackie also serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of Flinchbaugh Engineering, Inc. (FEI) in York, PA. FEI is an employee-owned contract manufacturer of precision metal machined parts. As a member of FEI’s board, Jackie has helped the company increase its share value while driving growth and customer satisfaction. Her experience in helping guide a 100% ESOP company will continue to benefit RETTEW in her new role as board chair.
Both Mary Ellen and Jackie will play a significant role in monitoring the firm’s long-term financial health and ensuring it carries out and meets performance goals and objectives. They will also be involved in decision making, financial management, strategy development, policy setting, and succession planning.
