RETTEW is pleased to announce Jason Butler, new survey party chief, and Garret Byrne, new project manager in the firm’s civil and municipal engineering group.
Working out of the firm’s Pittsburgh office, Butler is responsible for overseeing field operations of a survey crew, managing tasks such as construction stakeouts and as-built surveys for clients in the energy industry. He is charged with providing the most accurate land survey information to clients, ensuring projects are completed efficiently. Previously a support technician for Michael Baker Corp., Butler has experience in surveying for clients in the energy, construction, and home building industries. He resides in Bridgeville, Allegheny County, and each year spends time helping to install free heating systems to those in need.
Byrne, working in RETTEW’s civil/municipal service group, is based in the firm’s Lancaster headquarters. He is responsible for preparing proposals and cost estimates, analyzing and designing structures, and coordinating projects for industrial clients. His past experience includes more than 20 years working as a structural engineer on steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures. Previously a supervising structural engineer at WorleyParsons, Byrne is a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction and the Research Council on Structural Connections. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Master of Science degree in architectural engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.
