LANCASTER, Pa. — RETTEW, an Engineering News-Record top 500 design firm providing engineering, transportation, environmental consulting, planning and surveying services, today announced Jeffrey S. Case, PE, as director of transportation services.

As director of transportation services at RETTEW, Case is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bridge, highway, traffic and highway occupancy permitting groups, as well as leading the department’s efforts in business development, client relationship management and marketing. His role also involves working with RETTEW’s vice president of transportation services to develop the department’s strategic plan, ensuring that it aligns with RETTEW’s overall goals relating to revenue and continued market growth. Additionally, Case coordinates teams who provide services in structural engineering, highway design, traffic studies, highway occupancy permits, comprehensive plans, storm drainage improvements, construction administration and public participation.
Case brings to RETTEW 24 years of experience in transportation engineering and project management. He has provided design and planning services to a variety of clients across Pennsylvania and is an expert in developing bid documents for structural replacement projects, roadway reconstruction projects, and local aid projects for both the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.
Case is a registered professional engineer in six states and holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the United States Coast Guard Academy. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Society of Highway Engineers and the American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania. Case is active in his community, having been deployed as a structural engineer with Pennsylvania Task Force 1, a FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Team. A licensed pilot, Case also volunteers for Angel Flight and is a pilot and cadet instructor with the Civil Air Patrol. Case resides in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pa.
