National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the Chesapeake Bay Program

NFWF is offering funding through the Chesapeake Bay Stewardship Fund for its Small Watershed Grants (SWG) Program. Eligible projects within the Chesapeake Bay Watershed promote voluntary, community-based efforts to protect and restore the habitats of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributary rivers and streams. This program offers two funding opportunities, SWG Implementation (SWG-I) and SWG Planning and Technical Assistance (SWG-PTA). Applicants should review the CBSF Quick Reference Guide to compare and evaluate the programs.

Eligible Entities:
SWG-I: 501(c) non-profits, community-based organizations, local and municipal governments, Tribal governments and organizations, and K-12 educational institutions. other types (considered on a case-by-case basis)
SWG-PTA: State government agencies and institutions of higher education plus all SWG-I eligible organizations.
