Electric Service Reliability Project

A network of 69kv power lines serve electric customers in the region of Lackawanna, Wayne, Pike, and Luzerne Counties. These lines are no longer adequate to serve the estimated 250,000 people who live in the region. The new 230kv power line will stretch from Wilkes Barre to Hawley, Wayne County, and make the electric system more reliable by reducing the duration and number of power outages.

RETTEW conducted boundary line surveys for 55 properties along 21 miles of the proposed 60-mile route, mostly through dense woods and steep terrain. RETTEW’s experienced office and field staff overcame other challenges such as incomplete land records and unmarked boundaries, and worked closely with our client and landowners to complete the surveys and mapping on schedule and under budget.
