Wind Farm Survey

An energy company leased approximately 10,000 acres from more than 50 separate landowners in three counties to install and operate wind turbines and the transmission lines required to deliver energy to homes across the nation. The company wanted a full-service firm that could effectively and efficiently deliver all aspects of the planned projects on time and under budget while remaining sensitive to the intrinsic legal concerns of the projects.

RETTEW conducted the initial boundary surveys of the project site and located the existing encumbrances for the design and construction of the wind turbines and related infrastructure. Additionally, RETTEW provided the experience necessary to successfully complete ALTA/ACSM land title surveys to protect the rights of the existing landowners. As the project moved forward toward construction, RETTEW also provided various environmental services. Now complete, the wind farms provide local residents with a sustainable, low-carbon source of alternative energy.
